Can someone read the notions for this man from the Kommunion book? I see the dates, but can't read the places. Have some missing years for this family. They moved to Viborg in 1833 from Kronoby and ended back in Esse by this period. First two children born Kronoby (first Matts died) then three others born ??, rest born Esse. Trying to find birth places for Brita Maria 3.9.1840, Matts 12.6.1836 and Caisa Lisa 12.10.1833. Thanks for any help. From FFHA Esse 1858-1866 Lapfors, Långsjövatten farm.

I just found Caisa Lisa (Catharina Elisabeth) in Pällilä, Muolaa. Father is listed on these birth records several ways, which makes searching difficult. Pehr, Petter...Räihä, Rejsell or Reisell. Mother Brita Pehrsdotter Långsjövatten.

Just noticed surname should be Reisell. My bad spelling. Strangely father's birth name is Räbb. I see one of the sponsors at Catharina's baptism is Petter Räihä.

The marking for Pehr Reisell is "Se Brottoms Boken sid 16 n. 56" that is "See the Book of Crimes page 16 number 56". Pehr has gotten a conviction of something illegal and it has been marked down in the book of crimes held by the parish, which I can't seem to find separately, unfortunately, so it is hard to say what for. Under Pehr on his wife's markings there's a faint word I think is "bräcklig" that is Brita's is getting sickly/has various pain that make it hard for her to work.

I tracked them back in Ähtävä (Esse). This gives us insight to Pehr's crime. Although it is highly messy, the 1851-1857 book seems to say: "185(9?) pliktat för 1 resan fylleri och första resan snatteri" which means "In 185(9??) punished for drunkenness for the first time and minor thieving for the first time". 1859 seems unlikely, but it look like a 9.

I did find a certificate of the Reisell family moving, but it is addressed from Muolaa to Kurkijoki? I do not quite understand why it is in Ähtävä's archives. They must have moved to Ähtävä instead, changing their minds on the way. While looking for this I accidentally came across a birth certificate for Brita Maria, sent to Ähtävä from Teerijärvi/Kronoby.

Doing this I tracked them back to Pällilä in Muolaa and was able to locate their moving certificate to Muolaa from Viipuri as well!
