Matts Simonsson Mård (Granqvist) 17.1.1866 and Anders Simonsson Mård (Stendahl) 12.9.1868 were brothers. Confusion comes from several Family trees found that have Alexander Mattsson 12.1.1903 and Anna Ingeborg Andersdotter 3.7.1900 marrying. Wouldn't they be first cousins? Anders and Maria Sofia (Sundqvist) children are found as Sundqvist. Anders supposedly died 1916 in Michigan, but I find no proof of this using Stendahl, Sundquist or Mard. Any help appreciated.

Jaska,
Are you able to read the notions from 1877-1886 rippi about Petter Anders Johansson Mård (top one) and Matts Johansson Nylund Mård. Petter (bottom) supposedly died 24.8.1953 somewhere in USA and Matts 25.5.1912 also in USA.

Cannot read the first word for Petter Anders, but then there's Amerika 20/6 84
Matts has got a certificate of incapability for military service on 30/4 (or 30/11) 86 (intyg ofver oduglighet till krigstjenst)

The first word for Anders I think is "Bet." short for "betyg", which is a kind of character reference you get from the priest.
"Adm. 24.6.-74" means that Anders had his confirmation [into the cruch] on that date. Some parishes have an additional record where you can find the name of the priest and other children confirmed on that day.
