The cake was made by 12 people and took a week to plan and make - it served about 5,000 people. The Wuollet Bakery was established in 1944 by Reino Wuollet, an immigrant from Taivalkoski. Today, the bakery is run by the third generation of the family which operates five bakeries in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. They are well known for their Finnish baked goods.
