We are searching for names and information of parents and siblings of my grandfather Juho Jaakonpoika Mäkelä Born 1870 in Vimpeli Finland. Died 1945 in Fairport Harbor Ohio. He also later used John Maki and John Mackey as his last name after migrating to the USA around 1900. He married Josephina Heikkila, my grandmother of who we do have ancestory information stretching well back into Finland. But nothing about my grandfather John. I appreciate the opportunity to post this message with the Finlander genealogy forum.

Thank you! This is the first possible info about my grandfather John Mäkelä's parents, my great grandparents, I have so far seen. I am anxious to see what this info may lead to as we continue our search.
