Alatornio to Astoria and SW Washington

Looking for people who might have relatives that emigrated from Alatornio to Astoria.

I have a crop of new names that have surfaced including Pongalas, Palos, Parkalas, in addition to Ytterbergs and Kenttäs.

Lots of movement between Astoria and the SW Washington farmers, fisherman, and allied businesses. Went to the old pioneer cemetery in Eden Valley. Sotkas, Hanson, Juntilla, Kivinity, and Oja among others.

Is anyone investigating this crowd and their connection to Alatornio? Any sources for good information or contacts?

KG OLIN is currently in Coos Bay. Last week he met with descendents of Finns in Astoria and Portland. His traveling email is <abc456x%40yahoo.com> I think he would be interesting in hearing from you. He's already gathered several thousand names in his database before he left Jakobstad, Finland, for his research trip. He plans to publish a book about emigrants from Finland.
