Ha Ha! :)
Just trying to be useful. ;)
Syrene,
I have him and his wife in my database. He was married to Edla Andersdotter Nabbala, b. 1863 in Karleby, to US 1884. Felix came in 1876 and they married 1877 in Alabaster, Michigan. I show they had a son Henry Amos Gabriel Henriksson, b. 9 Jun 1898 in Alabaster. I'm almost positive that my aunt and uncle knew them - they also lived in Alabaster and the place was so small that everyone knew everyone, especially since there were so many people from Finland living there. The US Gypsum Co. had a mine there and many residents worked there. That's all the info. I have about this family - and sadly, everyone who might have known them has long passed away. Some of this data is in the East Tawas church records (Abigail Lutheran Church which no longer exists). I have put those records online on Finngen. If you're interested, I'll look up the URL.

Whoever gave me the date of 1884 for Edla's emigration was in error - I note that she married in Alabaster in 1877.

I did some further checking and feel that I should correct my previous mail on these people.
Felix Henriksson (sometimes Hendrickson) could be born 1856 or 1858 - no record of his birth in Pedersöre in 1856. The marriage date for him and Edla is not 1877 - don't know what it is. Did not find a marriage record for them after 1896 in Alabaster or Tawas, MI. They also had a daughter Hildur Linnea Katharina, b. 26 Feb 1897, Alabaster. Edla's parents are found in the Lars Friis book. I also found Edla's name in the immigration list prepared by Frans Lillsunde.

fpr taking the time to double check. I'll copy off the materials you all have gathered and mail it to Finland.
I know she'll be grateful.

See, it's good to have multiple resources working on these tasks. Still not sure why these two wouldn't show up in the census but now with Jeanettes additional data, I found them quickly! :)
First Felix:
...and the Turnquist family. BTW, these are both from the 1910 census that Jeanette mentioned.
I was searching for another name when I saw this and thought to write it here:
Anna Kristina Turnquist, b. 12-28-1863 at Oravais. She arrived to Virginia from Eveleth, MN - a daughter is listed with her.
Chuck
Thanks. I will assemble this material and send it on. You guys are really remarkable!
