Does anybody know about these Tikkanen brothers who lived in Hancock MI. They are my grandmother's brothers.

Emil Abraham Tikkanen b. 2.9.1878 Oulu Finland. Died 26.1.1958 in Hancock. Immigrated to Michigan 1899 from Muhos, Finland. -Spouse 15.8.1926 Edith Hilma Niemi b. 1882 Oulu. They had no children.
Emil was at first carpenter then constructor and supervisor of construction.

Väinö Henrik Tikkanen b. 1.7.1885 Oulu. Died 26.4.1976 in Michigan. Immigrated to USA in 1907. He was a carpenter and a farmer. Later he lived in Oscar near Hancock.

Antti Yrjö Tikkanen b. 18.5.1889 Muhos, Finland. Died 17.1.1912 Amerikka. Immigrated to USA in 1907. He was not married. He worked as printer in Finnish newspaper 'Amerikan Suometar'.

I have located Emil and Vaino in the Heritage Quest 1910 census index. Only heads of household are listed

At the Genealogigical Society of Finland I found a listing for
Finnish-American Historical Archives

Amongst the large number of records listed are
Microfilmed Finnish-American Newspapers
which lists some years for the newspaper Antti worked for although before his time.

I found Waino and his family on both the 1920 and 1930 census.

1920 for Hancock, Houghton, MI on 820 1/2 Hancock St
Tikkanen, Waino, age 30, emigrated 1907, Finland, carpenter
Lydia, age 29, born California,
Carl, age 6, born MI and Rose, age 3 8/12, born MI

1930 for Stanton, Houghton, MI
Tikkanen, Waino, age 44, married at 24, Finland, 1907, alien, farmer
