I am trying to locate living relatives of Otto Immanuel BAECK, b. May 3, 1872, Lappajärvi, Finland. Immigrated to Racine, Wisconsin on May 21, 1891. Managing Director for a leather factory in Racine. Married in Racine to Fanny RUSISKA born in Prag, Boehmen, died in Racine November 24, 1924. Otto returned to Reisjärvi, Finland in 1932. Married June 14 to widow, Vilhelmina VILJAMAKI, born REKONEN in Kivijarvi, Finland. Children from the 1st marriage born in Racine: Amalie Adele, b. May 27, 1896, worked in a Racine office (1935); Lilian Milada, b. September 15, 1897, worked in a Racine office (1935); Pearl Ottilia, b. June 10, 1901, high school teacher in Racine (1935); Almar Immanuel, b. August 31, 1905, worked in a Racine office (1935). Otto had a brother Karl Uno, and his son Karl Mikael BAECK, b. November 23, 1893 in Kemijärvi; became a pharmacist in 1912 in Finland. Immigrated 1913 to Wisconsin. Moved to Chicago in 1914, studied at the university, and worked evenings at a pharmacy. After six years became M.D., eventually a surgeon in Wankegan, Illinois. Also studied in Berlin and Vienna. Married to Ruth BANKS of German parents. The only trace I found on the web is for Lillian BECK SSN: 397-22- 6905 in Wisconsin.b. August 15, 1881; d. Jul 1971 in zip code 54963; Localities: Omro, Winnebago, Wisconsin. She visited her cousins in Finland in 1952 during the Olympic Games in Helsinki.
