to Fitchburg.

Mrs Edith Matson was the organist
The bearers were John A, Waino M. and Carlo E. Friis, Andrew Hendrickson,
Nikolai Fillback and William Tiilikala. Burial in Forest Hill.

age 68 years. She was born in Finland and lived in this city for the past 44 years.
She leaves her husband, three sons , John of this city, Waino and Carlo of Boston and
a daughter , Mrs Lillian Maki of this city, a sister and two brothers in Finland and two
grandchildren.

Thanks for the additional information. I just heard from Suoma about your last find, and she's happy to get it. She has tried to do research from Finland, but didn't have any luck. She asked if there is a record of the marriage of Joan Friis to William E Sullivan, married 1946 Fitchburg. Joan is John Friis´ grandchild.

I found the announcement of her engagement but not marriage.
Her mother had died after her engagement so they may have had a quiet wedding.
