Rintala, Victor M., 82, passed away Wednesday,August 23, 2006. Born in Pawtucket, a lifelong resident of the city, he was a son of the late Matti V. and Adolfina (Jarvi) Rintala. Victor was a World War 11 Army veteran and worked in the construction industry for many years.
He was a member of Suomen Silta, Finland. He leaves two sisters, Sola Quaglia and Ensi Sadlier; ten nieces and nephews, Michael, Gilbert, Anthony, Kenneth, Stephen, Deborah Quaglia. Elizabeth Benoit, Judith Belanger, Linda Covill and Barbara Hanson. He was the brother of the late Matti J., Eugene and Lily Rintala.
Funeral with Military Honors Friday at 8:45 am from William W. Tripp Funeral Home, 108 Newport Ave, Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 984 Taunton Ave., Seekonk. Buriel will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visitation omitted. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis. TN 38105
