I' m looking for information about my grandfather who left Finland July 1892 for Canada then to America. His name was Josef Henrick Karlson (Ojala or Gullans may have been farm name). He changed his name to Henry C. Gulland in America. He married Anna Sophia Johantytar Storas (Storaas) from Mortmark.
His pastorial certificate was from Diocesis Aboensis and Anna's was from Dioecesis Borgoensis.

I have been told that his pasport said that he was from Lapfjard district.

Thanks for you any information.

ART FORS. Thank you for your help.

The Institute of Migration has the departure from Finland as 9-7-1893. Henry's certificate from Pastor is dated 8 July 1892. Would they have waited a year to leave?
