I have a book called "Lampin Lestin Suvut 1684-1900." It has genealogical records from the Lestijarvi & Toholampi areas. I would be glad to do look-ups.

Parents of the above are Juho Heikki Matinpoika Nisula and Ida Maria Heikintytär Laitala.

If you get on Ancestry.com, public member family trees, someone has a tree started for Juha Nisula. You do not have to subscribe to Ancestry, from what I understand, to view the Family Trees. :)

Hi Carol,

Attached ( I hope) are a couple of pages that will help you some. You will need to do some translating, but some helpful things to know:

*= birthdate, + = date of death, vahn = parents, vih = marriage

It looks like your ancestors are show in Laitala #37b, 38 & 39 and Nisula #64.

It looks like Juho Heikki came to America in 1892, but returned to Finland for a few years, then back to America with his family in 1896 (except for Zenia, who probably stayed with relatives for a couple of years, until 1898). The word "paloi" is near the date of death that you have for Rosa Familia, but I cannot find a translation for that to know if that may be the cause of death. If you need any other help let me know. Who would have guessed: Seija is my relative, not very close, though. :) I will call her and ask about the book.

Ps. I have books called "Juuret K&#228;lvi&#228;ll&#228; 1688-1809" and "Juuret K&#228;lvi&#228;ll&#228;. Autonomian aika 1809-1917" written by Uuno Huhtala. The books are about genealogical records from the K&#228;lvi&#228; and Ullava area. Maybe this message will find out the people who may need that info. It would be nice to help, too. :)
