Carl Einar Buck died 23 May 2008 in Hamden, CT at age 88. He was born June 8, 1919 in Bridgeport, CT, son of Karl Johan Pellfolk-Buck and Elna Nygård. He married Elenore Smith 66 years ago and he is survived by her and their 4 daughters; also his brothers Robert Buck, Armonk, NY; Norman Buck, Ocala, FL; Erik Buck, Milford, CT, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

It was my please to meet and know Mr Buck, as well as both Norman and Erik, at the Swedish Athletic Club that became the Scandinavian American Club in South Fairfield, Connecticut, many years ago. The circle of Närpes-born and Närpes-connected continues to shrink.
