Hi Karen,

It says: layed ill from durcslopp (? never heard of anything like it, it sounds strange). Dead of pain in the neck.

The person was first tied to bed from an accident or an illness, and later died, and the cause of death was related to the pain he or she had in the neck.

Durchlopp (Durchlauf in German) is an old word for Diarrhoea.

Thank you Gita, Gunnel, and Hasse! Seems to be an odd set of circumstances that makes one wonder what caused the pain in the neck.
