Hello everyone,

Seeking info on a missing branch in our genealogy.

Alfons Otto Stadius b. june 19 1887 in Ähtäri, Finland, d. 1940 in La Cruz Corrientos, Argentina
Married 1916 with Ismelda Serpa in La Cruz Corrientos, Argentina

To our knowledge they have at least 7 children who still might be alive so I don't post them here, except for one Gustavo Stadius born around 1932

He have visited Finland some years ago and should be a professor at the University of Buenos Aires. I have got hold of some of the people he meet here in Finland but no one seems to have any information on how to contact him.
I have also sended an email to the university, no answers, but the mail didn't bounced back so I suppose the email went through.

If here happen to be anybody with contacts to Argentina or by some other reason indentifie Gustavo, I would be happy to get some info on him and his family.

Lasse,

Evidently there is more than one Alfons Stadius. Here is what I found, but he has a different birthdate: http://www.geni.com/profile/index/6000000000014129337

Thanks June,

I'll have a look at those Stadius at Geni.com, there is connections, but not the ones I seek for.
Alfons Otto Stadius parents were Otto Vilhelm Alarik Stadius b. 27.04.1836 and Aina Maria Calamnius b. 19.02.1850

Lasse,

The previous time when we were hunting for a family in Argentina I got the necessary contact information using a local person i Buenos Aires. Since I had no personal contacts there I used Skype and scanned the different persons that were online - found one that according to the information provided in the profile was a person in the business life - and made a call presenting my problem asking for hints how to proceed.

Took two hours and he gave me information which lead us in the right direction - telephone numbers and addresses.

Maybe a possibility?

Skype and Facebook are both very good ways to "find" people. I'm too old to get involved with Twitter, but then again, I remember when I said "I'll NEVER use a computer" when I thought I was too old, back in 1989.

Thanks Denise,

I will try those names you found.

I will also try both Skype and FaceBook like Hasse said, wondering why I did not think about them my self? Maybe it's like Ilmari said "I'm too old;-) "
