I have a request for information about Eddie/Edward Munson who co-authored the song "Ida, Sweet as Apple Cider." The following notice about an Eddie Munson appeared in Brooklyn Court news 1913:

Eddie MUNSON, who died June 28, in Kings County Hospital, leaves everything to his uncle, Charles J. WEBER, who is made executor.

It seems not much can be found about Munson. I found this:
> Almost nothing is known of Eddie Munson except that he co-authored this song and a few others, and appeared in several stage shows in New York City.

Is it possible to find a census record? Is it possible he could be Edvard Månsson?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi June,
Without knowing how old Edward Munson was when he died, I have looked at the 1910 Census for Brooklyn, New York, and found this Edward Munson living with a Weber family as their nephew. Could this be him? The image is very bad; sorry!

Best Regards,
Denise

Thanks, Denise. It looks promising. Someone in Sweden is trying to track down Munson's origins and we haven't been able to find out anything except what I posted. So I'll pass this along to him. Looks like Eddie wasn't very old when he died.
