A team of Nordic divers found a figurehead of a horse on a well-preserved wreck resting at 100 meters deep in the water between Åland and Gotland. It is estimated the ship sank in the late 1600s or early 1700s. The divers also saw the skeletons of two seamen on the afterdeck of the ship.

Hi June,

Do you have a link or know the web address for Norden?

Thanks in advance.

Norden doesn't have a website. I subscribe to the paper and received it as a pdf file. If you're interested, write to: nordennews*aol.com to subscribe and submit your e-mail address. You receive it the day it's printed - in Swedish.

Some older issues of Norden can be seen through the SFHS web (http://finlander.genealogia.fi/sfhswiki/index.php/Category:Norden) site. To see the browsable newspapers you may have to update your Flash client in your browser.

Here you have a way to improve your Swedish and at the same time follow what happens in Finland

As June mentioned they can be reached through nordennews[at]aol.com: The newspaper can be delivered as an pdf without the delay of the local postal services.
