Hazel Kiuttu, 95 of Cloquet, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth.

She was born July 11, 1918 in Colburn, Wis., to Jacob and Kathleen (Cox) Guckenberg.

She graduated from Cloquet High School in 1936. Hazel worked as the office manager for Dr. Jack Tomhave for many years.

She was a lifelong member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church and volunteered for the school and church. She enjoyed traveling and especially hiking the North Shore Trails.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Toivo Kiuttu; and two brothers, Howard and Leo Guckenberg.

She is survived by three nephews, Dave (June) Guckenberg, Jon (Ali) Guckenberg, and Leo Guckenberg Jr.; and one niece, Kathleen Sheff.

VISITATION: 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 13, 2014 until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Luncheon will follow in the church social hall. See the family online guest book at www.nelsonfuneralcare.net
