I looked at the 1930 census once again to find some clues about
Alina and Reinhold Anderson in New York.Noticed that their oldest son Wallace 22 years old worked as a mechanic at NHPrailroad. I guess that means Northern Pacific railroad.Have a feeling that i have seen some site with text like "Retired railroadmen or something like that".Does anybody know where to look.

Hi Christer,
Did you really mean NHP? Or maybe was it NH?
If NH, in the east that would be New Haven Railroad which would fit with New York area.
Northern Pacific is from Chicago to the west along the northern tier of the American states. it went to Washington state.

This website has a link to the railroad gen society. That link was too busy so I could not post it here.

Another that might be more for employees.

He might have worked in a roundhouse like this one. Roundhouse is where locomotives were given maintenance.

And if he were still with the railroad in 1938, he might have helped with the hurricane of 1938 damage.
