My great great grandfather was Johan Johansson Kotka, born 26 May 1849 in Finland. My great great grandmother was Kajsa or Caisa Lovisa Johansdotter Haapsasaari, born 12 April 1857 in Finland. I would like information about her father's family, possibly Juho Kallenpoika Oja?

Karen,
Did Johan and Maria have a daughter Caisa Lovisa, b. 12 Apr 1857? I have lots of people from Öja, but none named Johan Carlsson.

Yes, it appears the Caisa Lovisa of Haapasaari farm, Kannus, is the daughter of Johan Carlsson Öja. Daughter born just a few days after parents' marriage.

Johan Carlsson Oja is from here: http://digi.narc.fi/digi/view.ka?kuid=9479870
He was born in Kälviä 16 Dec 1831 (http://hiski.genealogia.fi/hiski?en+t4095520) and his parents were married there 12 Jun 1831 (http://hiski.genealogia.fi/hiski?en+t4099602).

It's easy to find Caisa Greta Mattsdr Nyberg's birth in Kälviä, as 3 Jan 1807 (http://hiski.genealogia.fi/hiski?en+t4092732) fits exactly.
However, Carl Carlsson Callander's birth date has probably changed during moves. His place of birth is more clearly Gamlakarleby in this page: http://digi.narc.fi/digi/view.ka?kuid=8277235
He has move from Lohtaja in 1831, first wife Greta Henriksdotter (marriage (http://hiski.genealogia.fi/hiski?en+t4631377)) had died: http://digi.narc.fi/digi/view.ka?kuid=9023876
Unfortunately Karleby moving out record doesn't state where he lived there, bottom right: http://digi.narc.fi/digi/view.ka?kuid=8285167 - makes it hard to follow him back...

Carl Carlsson Pihl, born 2.9.1806, shown here at Härmälä in same Karleby book, with what looks like Calander written above his patronymic Carlsson...only one communion for him, in 1826...and this page shows he came from Lochteå (middle of page): http://en.www.digihakemisto.appspot.com/edit?kuid=8281044&kuvanumero=59&ay=2622092&sartun=315159.KA&atun=324342.KA&amnimeke=Kaarlelan+seurakunta&sarnimi=P%C3%A4%C3%A4-+ja+rippikirjat&aynimi=Rippikirja+1824-1835&ay2=122184

Thanks to June Pelo...for suggesting Carl Carlsson Pihl, born 23.9.1806 as a possibility... :)

She has more information on Carl Magnus Pihl, born 29.7.1776, Pedersöre...
