Archive Material Available for Research
Since 1991, SFHS has collected historical material that is stored in our archives. The type of information stored consists primarily of:
- International Order of Runeberg – defunct lodge records
- Historical newspapers (Leading Star, Norden, Syd-Österbotten, Vasabladet and miscellaneous other newspapers)
- Old telephone books pertinent to research efforts

It should be noted that SFHS is not a museum so many artifacts cannot be taken, even though they have historical value. If you have a question, we will provide assistance in suggesting possible locations where such materials can be sent.
