I have Lars Larsson born 1629 Löija, Vetil, Vasa, Finland.
Died 1684 Saari, Vetil, Vasa, Finland.
(June Pelo have a note saying "could be born 1609")

In TALKO I find him married to Carin Johansdotter d. abt 1697.

There is an entry in Vetil burial record saying:
Died / Buried 0.0.1697 1.8.1697 Village / Farm Sari
Deceased Enckia Cause of death / Age - years - months - weeks - days
Relative Lars Larsons
Could this be Carin Johansdotter ??

I also find that Jeanette Baker has the wife of Lars Larsson as Nikula Mårtensdotter d. July 1697.

Now, in familysearch, most entries have Niculas Mårtensdotter as the wife.

If they both died in the same year it follows that only one is the correct wife, but which one ????

Sincerely,

June Pelo

My notes indicate I received data from about 9 people, and all showed Carin Johansdotter as the wife of Lars. One person indicated that Lars could be born 1609. I don't think that can be correct, because his parents married about 1610 and there were 5 children born before Lars was born.

I went through all my Mårtensdotter names, but none died in 1697. It would be interesting to know Jeanette Baker's source.

K-G,

I worked with David Saari on his genealogy many years ago - Jackie Lee was his father. I think he did a thorough job gathering data.

Hello from Finland...

I was born in Veteli and my mother maiden name was Saari. Actually I'm 4th cousin to Jackie Lee Saari. I was lucky to find "Ancestors of Jackie Lee Saari" document and it helped me a lot when I started this hobby. There might be some small errors (I haven't check out all the information I have copied from there) but David did incredible accurate job.

Lars Larsson Saari or sometimes in Finnish texts Lauri Laurinpoika Löija Saari (two surenames after the first names). Lars Larsson, 1629-84: I'm his 8th great-grandson. In my database I have Karen (Kaisa) Johansdotter as Lauri's wife...

I'll be happy to help you if you need some basic information about relatives that have name Saari or Heikkila.

Osmo

Tanks Osmo .

I have searched many internet webpages; HISKI, Saariall.pdf, Familysearch.org, TALKO and more. But, it is mostly other peoples genealogy I have extracted to assemble my own data from. Thus, the family page I have attached is as correct as I can make it at this time.
Lacking good original sources it is a guess work though.

If you have any further info to add to my family group sheet (PDF) I would realy like to know.

Hei Osmo,

I think most of the Finlander Forum members are related to this couple, but my dates are a bit different than yours.

7674. Lars Larsson Löija- SAARI: born in 1629 in Vetil, Finland; married; died on 17 Jan 1692 in Vetil, Finland

7675. Carin JOHANSDOTTER: died about 1697

They are one set of many of my 10th Great-grandparents.

I agree that he is related to many Finlander members - he's my 8th great grandfather, too. I calculated that Jackie Lee Saari and I are linked 100 ways - all the way to 13th cousins.

Laars (Lars=Lauri) Larson (Larsson=Laurinpoika) Sari (Saari) died on 17.1.1692 was 42 years old so he was born in 1650.
(I think he was a son of Lars who was born in 1629. Lars (1650) wife's name was Caisa Johansdotter, 1645-95 - they have two children Matti 1671-1740 and Maria ?-?)

I agree that Osmo's data could be correct:
Father Lars Larsson = 1629-1684
Son Lars Larsson = 1650-1692

I think there was confusion with father and son having identical names, and dates were mixed.
