100 years of Scandinavian Studies in Seattle

Join us on Saturday, September 26 as we celebrate 100 years of Scandinavian Studies and 15 years of Baltic Studies at the UW.

We'll have live music, dancing, Scandinavian food. A circle of eight oak trees symbolizing the eight countries studied at the UW will be planted around the oldest footpath on campus.

  • When:Saturday, September 26, 2009, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. (planting ceremony at noon)
  • Where:On the lawn between Parrington Hall and the Law School Building at UW
  • Cost:Free and open to the public

Treats for sale from local food importer Scandinavian Specialties (CASH ONLY). The menu includes meatballs, sandwiches, desserts, and many other regional delights.
